Our Animal Rescues

An introduction to just a few who've stolen our hearts...

Kendra

Staffordshire Terrior

Our first true rescue.  "Kendy Kane" began her life living in a car in Frisch's parking lot.  From there, she bounced to various homes, and ultimately landed in ours.  And, oh, what a dog!  You've heard the term "The Best Dog"?  This one truly is.  She's singularly the most magnificent canine we've ever known.

Sasha

Silkie Rooster

Sasha is an urban chicken who came to us from the city.  In many cases such as this, roosters are culled, but not Sasha!  He is living happily in our Chick Inn, with six ladies who have come to adore him!

Dump

Kune Kune

Meet Dump, the delightful farm pig with a tale that's as charming as his curious snout! Once known as "Porkchop", this sprightly pig was destined for the dinner table. But fate had other plans. Swept up in a whirlwind of luck and love, Porkchop found a new home and a new name—Dump. He now spends his days frolicking in the field, basking in his pool, and snacking on his favorite treats. Dump has not only captured the hearts of everyone on the farm but also reminds us all of the joy and resilience that come with a second chance at life.

Liza Jane

Nebelung

Liza Jane, the enchanting Nebulong cat, boasts an origin story as captivating as her ethereal appearance. Born to a resilient mother rescued from the streets of Covington, Kentucky, Liza Jane's early life was shaped by the hardships of urban survival. Her mother's rescue brought them to a serene farm, where Liza Jane quickly adapted, her street smarts blending seamlessly with her newfound pastoral life.

Angel Agatha Van Horn.jpg

Agatha Angel

White Silkie

Agatha Angel is no ordinary chicken; she's a feathery fashionista with a flair for the dramatic and a soft spot for tutus. Unlike many of her barnyard counterparts, Agatha didn't emerge from a background of trials and tribulations. Her story isn't one of escape from dire conditions, but rather a tale of simply seeking a new coop to call home—a space where her unique personality and sartorial preferences could shine brightest.
